I've been jumping into the deep end before I knew I could swim my whole life.
It wasn't planned. I've just had a love of trying things "bigger than my britches," as my Mema used to say, since I was a little kid.
It started with a handful of neighborhood + school yard enterprises in my early years (all of which ended up being shut down due to the business they pulled away from the "legally compliant" vendors).
I went on to help found and lead a company in my 20s that facilitated $4mm+ in sustained, high-impact enrichment to 25,000+ children living in high-poverty communities. I sold this organization and landed on 22 acres of rural, mountain farmland in 2019. This land gave birth to Heart of Men, my most aligned creative + leadership endeavor to date.
Here's the secret I've found in my later years: when I jump into the deep water knowing my True North, my creative process always brings me back ten-fold what I receive otherwise. Every creative act brings me into more alignment with who I really am, and success seems to follow.
I would not be the father, husband, friend, or leader that I am today if I hadn't said yes before I felt ready. I wouldn't have created this life I love that feels like mine.
I'm here to help you do that. For your own life. But also because a world full of men creating and leading from that which is true — that's a world I want to live in.
