Heart of Men

Cultivating the Conditions for Men to be Well so Earth can be Well

We believe in the sacred responsibility of men

in helping to create the architecture of a well world. We see a hurting world that does not provide men the conditions to know who they are and why they are here. In the absence of this, men cannot offer their unique contribution to Life, and the world suffers.

Our circles restore the conditions for men to unlearn the distortions received from a broken masculine paradigm, integrate what hasn’t been allowed, uplift the brilliance wanting to emerge, and step into the fullness of their being in service to Life’s design.

We believe our world will be well when men are given what they need to play their role as the Keepers of Life.

We facilitate a series of circles from one-evening events to a year-long councils in service to men’s emergent becoming. Our circles weave a combination of Council, Parts Work, Somatic Attunement, Movement, Imaginary Exploration, Prayer, and Ritual.

Council of Brothers

Once a year, we invite 12 men to journey with us over 8 months with twice-monthly online sessions and two in-person retreats.

Breathwork & Brotherhood

Each winter and summer, we go on tour, bringing a weekend experience of brotherhood and music to a handful of cities connected to the Heart of Men community.

The State of Modern Masculinity

These clips are part of a film project being done by David Gwynn - one of the members of the very first Heart of Men Council. From David: “The project is a deep look into contemporary masculinity through the eyes of everyday men undergoing a transition in their thoughts about themselves and the society they grew up in.”

We believe our healing and restoration happen in their fullness when we’re also healing our collective and cultural wounds. It is a core value of Heart of Men to welcome in the full tapestry of the masculine experience, especially reaching a hand towards brothers who are often left out of spaces like this due to systemic forces.

25%-50% of all seats in Heart of Men programs are prioritized for a) Men formerly incarcerated b) First Nations brothers living in their tribal communities and c) First generation refugees arriving to this continent because of war or environmental collapse. These men have the opportunity to receive support from our Access Fund, which covers up to 80% of program cost.

If you are interested in supporting this Fund, please reach out to our team.
