Breathwork and Brotherhood

A weekend of peace, connection, and clarity for men

The medicine is simple. And that’s why it’s so powerful:

We facilitate two days of: Guided Meditation, Visualization Practice, Embodied Exercises, Heart-to-Heart Connection, Group Council, Conscious and Connected Breathwork, Animal Dance, and Personal Reflection.

So you leave feeling: resourced, in deeper connection with your emotions, present, supported and uplifted by other men, regulated in your nervous system, in your body, and with new insights on places of challenge in your life.

This is the medicine we’ve been waiting for as men.

Hosted by Movement Arts Studio, Tribe, we’re bringing our first two-day experience. Tickets here.

We’re bringing in one of our favorite facilitators to join the weekend. Tickets live soon. Sign up to be notified below.

“Being together with other men like this was something I believed was not possible outside of high school and college contexts. Leaving this event, I am feeling reinvigorated as a partner and father.” -Durham Participant

Breathwork

is an enlivened breath practice that cleanses the body and resets our nervous system. We use a breath pattern that allows us to drop beneath our conscious programming into an altered state and begin to re-wire pathways in our body. This powerful, self-healing practice is known to get us “unstuck” and offer self-generated insights that lead us towards more clarity, peace, and connection in our lives.

because we’re not designed to reach our full potential alone, and yet, we’re so alone these days. If you’ve been in an intentional space of men, you know something special happens. We receive an inspiration and resource that just isn’t possible to access by ourselves. The circle gives us a permission to stretch and grow into our most alive expression.

Brotherhood

You’ll be grateful for this experience if you’re a man who…

  • Wants to fill up your own cup so you can show up for your family, your work, and your community

  • Desires to slow down your mind and find more presence in your body

  • Wrestles with the traditional concepts of manhood and masculinity instilled in our culture

  • Who is moving a million miles a minute and needs an exhale for some much-deserving peace and clarity

  • Knows a deeper connection and vulnerability with other men is possible and wants more than surface conversation

  • Overwhelmed by the responsibilities of life and could use some time where you have help holding them

“Coming together with other men like this feels like an act of rebellion.

Day 1: The Warrior’s Heart

We’ll be utilizing the technologies of non-verbal connection, dyadic council, circle, and breathwork to invite forth what doesn’t always have space to be shared in our day-to-day lives. The focus for this evening is a connection to our own hearts and to the hearts of other men. This is an evening where you’re not only welcomed to feel what lives beneath the surface—you’re seen and uplifted for these deeper currents that make you, you. Potent possibilities open when a group of men are in their hearts together.

Day 2: The Warrior’s Body

The body is home to an innate wisdom that has the capacity to heal and empower. In this guided embodiment practice, known as the Warrior Dance, we will begin to reconnect with the animal that lives inside each of us. The animal that knows how to crawl, hunt, and ultimately play. We’ll get to drop beneath the mind and center the experience of letting the body lead. In accessing this primal aliveness as a group, we’re opening ourselves to an intelligence far greater than the mind alone. We’ll close the day with another 75-minute guided, breathwork journey.

What to expect:

“Being together with other men like this was a completely new experience for me, and I found it to be deeply meaningful and transformative. This experience has reshaped some truths I thought I knew and expanded the ways in which I want to connect with others.” -Atlanta Participant

“In this space, I felt held, honored, comforted, challenged, softened, and strengthened. The alchemy of the evening allowed for a healthy dose of screaming, crying, and laughing, all of which felt nurturing and welcomed.” -NYC Participant
